As the settling progresses in the new apartment, with each day that passes it seems that we find a new area that requires a visit to Amazon for some remediating product or another to address a glaring lack—lack of light in the closets, lack of art for the huge wall in the bedroom, and so on.
Herbs are generally pretty hard to kill, which is what I like about them. Also, there's no substitute for fresh thyme, dill, or basil - the dried versions don't cut it.
Ah, interesting. Thanks for the tip! I've been watching some videos on how to dry herbs, but I don't know if I will have enough of them to dry them and hang them, or put them in jars. I also like the idea of fresh herbs. We'll see how it goes. This is my first go-round with herbs and flowers in a number of years, so I may lose a few in the learning process.
Drying herbs is no big deal. Just spread them out on a spare table or bed in a dry room for a few days, then strip the leaves off the stems and store them in sealed containers out of direct light.
